About Garlic & Pearls

The podcast is the work of Muriel Zagha and Suzanne Raine.
 
Muriel Zagha grew up in Paris and is a French writer and broadcaster based in London. She has written extensively on French culture and society. She regularly appears as a commentator on the BBC and Times Radio, bringing a French point of view, and has made programmes for Radio 4 and Radio 3 relating to French culture. She was the guest on the ‘History of France in 10 Films’ edition of The Rest is History podcast. She has published three novels.
 
Suzanne Raine is a geopolitics expert who, following her career in the Foreign  Office, is the new Master of Selwyn College Cambridge. She is Visiting Professor at King’s College London and a Trustee of RUSI and the IWM. Her work as a commentator and writer has featured in The Financial Times, Engelsberg Ideas and The New Statesman.
